clutch pedal/master cylinder ?s
I just put the clutch/brake pedal assembly into my k5 and put the steering column back in. When I was putting in the clutch master cylinder I noticed I might not have all the parts to attach the 2 together. Basically is there a spring and small bracket similar to the one on the brake pedal that keeps the rod from coming off? I see a hole where a small bracket could be bolted on the clutch pedal.
Also, the switch for the brake lights has 2 sets of connectors, I assume one for the lights and the other for cruise control? Cruise control was not on my K5 when I bought it and I was thinking of removing all the stuff as follows: On the pedal assembly(pass side) close to the firewall is a bracket with a relay I assume mounted. And on the opposite of the pedal assembly is another bracket with something else mounted. I think these both go to the cruise control, am I correct? I can get pictures tomorrow if that will help. Thanks, Jim |

How about a picture of the clutch rod/clutch pedal connection point? (85 and up)Thanks,

Re: clutch pedal/master cylinder ?s
Was just in there today! The eye of the rod just slips over the lie stub on the clutch pedal and is held in place with washers and the clip (yes, like the brakes). The bracket you are talking about sounds like it might be a bracket for the neutral safety switch. I took mine off long ago, so I can't remember. I hope that is what you were asking about.

Re: clutch pedal/master cylinder ?s
Thanks nonstop, that helps. I have that hooked up now. Another member enlightened me on all the switches on the brake pedal- cruise and torque converter lock-up and of course the brake lights.
