4 inch lift
1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys so I'm brand new to this forum I have a 71 k20 really mint truck daily driven and it rides...well like a 71 k20 so I traded some old parts for a set of rancho 4 inch front springs so I ordered all new lift shocks stearing arm lift block and 2 inch rear blocks cuz my truck has some bad rake but the problem is I found out there 85 k5 blazer front springs witch I read are about 2 inches shorter. My question is will they work with my stock shackles or am I f*cked?

Re: 4 inch lift
I think that the 85 springs are longer not shorter. And they need to be the correct length.
My opinion, buy a complete lift designed to fit your truck with front and rear springs. It's expensive. And it's worth it. |
Re: 4 inch lift
The 73 springs are longer. They require some work to fit but it has been done. There is a build thread on a big block blue suburban and he used 73 up springs

Re: 4 inch lift
You can use the '73-up springs if you move the rear mount back. By doing this you will gain another 2" of lift, due to the drop of the frame. It's either that or sell/buy or trade for 69-72
