most lowered short beds I see for sale aren't that nice really, questionable paint, motor, interior stinks, etc....

anyone else ever notice you hardly ever see a really nice lowered short bed for sale? been looking on ebay and most just don't cut it

I suggest looking at stock height trucks, too. You can always lower a nice truck, but it's a lot more costly and time consuming to fix up a bad one.

There around in my area but like you said some are poor quality, or over done half finished projects that are way overpriced. I'm amazed what some are asking for some stuff I looked at lately.

I agree. I looked daily for months on eBay, nationwide craigslist searches, and all the trader sites until I found mine. I'm glad I held out for what I was looking for though.

There's a nice one in Port Huron MI. the 12K is a little steep for my pocketbook.

Remember, these were TRUCKS and most have been beat on over the years. Here in MI we generally have to go out of state to find one that ONLY needs rockers, cab corners and doors. And interiors? good luck.

Both the red truck and the black one are saved on my work computer and i look at them weekly!!!!!

I know Jeff!!! I keep kicking myself for getting rid of several I've had. I got rid of one of the last ones I lowered to pile money up to get my 69 Camaro. Well know i'm caught up financially and am craving another short bed

problem is, i'm "anal" and there's a ton of crap out there. Have you seen the ones on ebay going for like $12k that are lowered but look like crap?

yes, and no....I wander sometimes lol

you know how it is, you get rid of something to get something nicer, but you still miss that thing when you see pics of it.....

kinda like getting rid of a woman for a better looking one.....only the one you got rid of you made good memories with:lol: Know what I mean?

I love my Camaro, and i'll never get rid of that thing!

I picked this one up about 3 months ago. It wasnt lowered yet. It would shock most people if they knew what I paid for it!

Thanks alot! This one was garage kept by the man that owned it. He owned it for 20 years before I bought it.

Could you tell me wheel and tire sizes on the pic of the red truck you originally posted?

Around me i see a lot of beat up work trucks,If its something nice they think its worth its weight in gold.

Re: nice lowered sb's seem rare anymore

The problem IMO is double worse for 4x4 SB trucks. But mine will be different....I concur with having a hard time finding them. I traded a basket case 73 Z28 for a running (barely) 86 K10 only to discover while not rusty, the entire interior was trashed, has a SB 4x4 frame but a 2WD cab sitting on it, cab setup for power accessories and dual tanks but truck had mismatched manual doors and frame has 1 gas tank. Saving grace? It is rust free and came with a NP205 TC. I don't look at the truck as it is, I see it for what I'm going to turn into in the end. A nice 4x4 SB truck is pretty scarce here in Iowa.
