High Humps`
I am looking to do an LS swap with a 4L60E transmission, I understand that I am going to need a high hump transmission cover. were those in use from 60-66 or only certain years?

60-66 4-speeds. Early ones were bolt in rear half and later were welded in. The black one is my low hump modified for T5 the other is for new stuff.

Re: High Humps`
Any good reason to run a high hump with TH350 or TH400 tranny? Or any other auto tranny for that?

Re: High Humps`
I like where your head is at (LS Swap)! There was one at U-Pull-It North last year, but it has since gone on to the great scrap yard in the sky. I'll keep my eye out for one. Otherwise, we might be able to build a buck using mine, and fabricate one out of sheet steel... Obviously, this should be a last resort, unless you are way better at fabrication than I am! ;0)

So this is a high hump than? If so, my other truck has one and I didn't even know it. PO just put a rug over the hole and I never paid any attention to it because I just didn't care.... I guess it looks like LVPhotos top hump.

Re: High Humps`
Yes that is a high hump. My truck has the same. It came with the 4 speed. The only advantage I could see is it might give the Lokar trans mount shifter more room. Not sure on that though. I will find out soon enough.

Wow 200 dollars for the set up?

Re: High Humps`
Pay for clean parts and there are no trucks in junk yards here. Wants 50 for ash tray. Like I said rust free.
