What's the cause? Help, please.

90 suburban sounds like it wants to kill at the red light, not sure what it is...tune up? Timing? Runs excellent while driving, shifts great. No hesitation when starting. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried replacing the fuel filter? That could help...

Nope, haven't done that yet...or anything yet. Thanks

Short term plans
Ac working
Tires
Tint
Tune up
Oil change
Just the basics to make it more reliable. It runs like a clock other than that issue.
Driver window won't go up, any advice all other windows work properly.

LOL I hope this isn't the list of your priorities... Oil and tune up should be before anything else.

Change the fuel filter first, always good to do when the last time it was changes is either never or unknown.

Other things to check...

1) Bad EGR, you can test this by removing the vacuum line from it and plugging it. Engine light will come on, but if it stops dying thats your answer.

2) Throttle body gasket.

3) Bad Idle Air Control valve.
