will it fit? seat question
another question for the pros...
i have a 60 c10, that has a later model bench seat (74-86) originally i wanted to go back to a deluxe 60 seat, but thats been proven hard to find around here. anywho... i have the chance to grab a 2000 GMC bucket seats with shoulder belt, and center small seat (like a buddy bucket), i know i have seen pix on here with these seats in our trucks, but my question is, how well do they fit? the guy is parting out a wreck, and wants an offer of course. they are black and look in decent condition, the truck does'nt have doors so they have seen some weather. what should i pay? thanks |
Re: will it fit? seat question
In the early 2000's I paid 400 bucks for a primo condition 1994 Chevy pickup deluxe bench.seat. It had the adjustable head rests and a fold down armrest. It was not a split but rather one full seat.(which I really wanted) I got it at a salvage yard. The kind where you don't get to pull it yourself. That thing was super comfortable. I considered it expensive but worth it. .

i was shocked, i went and saw them today and still couldnt get a number out of him...
make an offer, make an offer so i said i will start at $50 for everything, and he said SOLD!!! so even if i dont like them when i get them home, it wont be a big deal |

Re: will it fit? seat question
I'm 6'4" and have leather buckets out of a 2003 Tahoe with a jumpsuit out of a 2014 Silverado. all of it fits together well and is the right width for the truck and are very comfortable. The biggest issue I have with them is that when I drive my truck for a long period of time (3+ hours) it can start to feel a little cramped in the cab. This should get a little better once the tank is moved out of the cab.
Honestly, I don't have much of a problem with them, granted I'm a thin guy, just tall. Leg room could be better, but it really is not that much different than where the stock seat in mine was. Also for what it's worth, $50 seems like a killer deal. I know I got an absolutely screaming deal on my leather buckets at $125 for the two, I also got lucky and they had an aftermarket heated seat kit already installed! http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/...psbd1e8571.jpg http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/...ps969a413e.jpg |

yes leg room was a must for me. i loved the seats but seemed to big in the truck with me in them so i seen a guy at a local carshow that used 1988- 1994 chevy bench seat and that seat cured all my problems hieght wise and leg room, love the seat going to have it recover to match my interior.

@Cooper197
@White Knuckle garage thats the only thing im worried about...im 6'-4'' and about 300lbs i dont have bad leg room issues, but i do sit tall in the cab with my present bench seat. i figured with these buckets i would sit a little lower. did you guys use the rails that came on the new seats? or make your own stationary/non adjustable mounts |
