ATHS National Show '15
Well, with 12 degree temperatures outside it feels like spring. Gets me thinking about what's coming up, and anyone near enough to York,PA to make the drive it will be well worth it. These national shows move around the country each year and this year is the closest it's been since the '80s. The date is May 28-30th at The York Expo Center (York Fairgrounds). Our local chapter, Mason-Dixon is the host. www.aths.org

Re: ATHS National Show '15
Are you going, Tim?

Re: ATHS National Show '15
Tim------Thanks for that publicity post. Ive sent in my pre registration for the camping area for our travel trailer, but am unsure if I'll have my '70 GMC conversion roadable by then . I've lost a lot of assembly time the past several years due to health issues . Just got home today from my 2nd hip surgery since November.

Re: ATHS National Show '15
I went to the national in Yakima. 800 trucks, unbelievable
|
Re: ATHS National Show '15
I would have liked to have gone to Yakima. The NW has some great trucks. Caught the logger/chipper truck bug when I lived in Humboldt Co. I almost went with my friend to Pleasanton when it was there a few years back. These shows are an overdose of eye candy, but the kind a doctor would prescribe. Working trucks to museum pieces

I know the feeling. And a long week for you means a lot of driving to be driving another 600 round trip for a show

Re: ATHS National Show '15
Getting closer. Make a slot in your schedule!

Don't worry, James, I will... I will. I think the rod run comes right behind? Maybe I'll get an apartment

Re: ATHS National Show '15
Would love to make it, 10 years ago it fell on the weekend of June 4th I believe and was in Auburn, that was the year that my dad and I had planned to go, but my wife thought otherwise and that was the weekend that she chose for us to get married.

Re: ATHS National Show '15
My father and I went to the show in West Springfield Mass, Two years ago. We have made reservations for this show already.
Last show was unbelievable, can't wait to see the show this year. |
Re: ATHS National Show '15
I expect the York show to be the biggest ATHS show ever, exceeding the 2003 Syracuse show of about 1050 and the 2005 Auburn show of over 1000. I'm putting off hip surgery for a month to attend . Between the hip and knee problems, and the spring weather, some days are tough.

Re: ATHS National Show '15
This thread has fallen way too far down the list for the greatest truck show on earth. Understand you all, there will be trucks coming from all over the states, so can't you make it? Dan, I have to agree. I would wager 1,200 trucks or more. Some are saying 1,500. These are guesses, not promises. The expo center (inside) has been filled up. This is THE national show here boys and girls, and it's less than two weeks away. Go to www.aths.org for more info

Re: ATHS National Show '15
I had big plans on attending, but now it looks like we are heading to Truck Nationals at Carlisle in August, and since the girls have planned it and are excited we best be going. How close are you to there, would love to meet up, 72Mario and his family are coming down as well. I've just bought a bike rack for the dually and installed a tonneau cover for the trip south.

Re: ATHS National Show '15
How close to Carlisle, a little over an hour, like 1 hr 15 minutes. I will be there with a spot. It would be cool to have you guys over to my place, if that could happen. I Met Mario, his wife, and two boys last year. Added a Hot wheels Chevy truck to each of their collects :). I felt so bad I couldn't have been of more assistance with his pinion angle issues. I admire him for taking on a such a trip with family. It's the type of thing I did with mine.
I've been meaning to call Mario about that Suburban rear a/c set-up John had that he wanted. I told John he wanted it but he didn't want to deal with shipping. I was considering "brokering" the deal (for John's price) by buying it and taking care of the shipping. I'll make sure John brings it to the show. Would you let Mario know? |
Re: ATHS National Show '15
I'll be helping a friend bring some trucks up there this afternoon. Starts tomorrow and runs through Saturday. If you go Saturday, it's best to go early. There will be many trucks from as far as California and they tend to start slipping out in the afternoon
|
Re: ATHS National Show '15
Great show! Friday afternoon they announced that there was a little under 1100 trucks on the grounds.and more coming in. Any idea what the final count was? We left Saturday morning and met more heading to the show.
