Who is running LED Headlights? Love to see some photos and hear some results. I was contemplating either the GE NIGHTHAWK™ LED http://www.gelighting.com/LightingWe...ghts/overview/

or the Truck Lite's

Re: Who is running LED Headlights?

I have been told they stick out a bit on the '71/'72 grille. Love to see a photo if anyone has them installed. I have heard that the Jeeps have some flickering problems....I wonder if we'd have the same problem on a K/5?

Re: Who is running LED Headlights?

I have the Truck-lite ones, but the truck isn't finsihed yet so I dont have a practical review. Yes, they do stick out further than the OEM beams. I have seen them in other applications where the look strange (60s Mini Cooper.) There is a harness to eliminate the flicker, but I dont think it effects old school retro fits. I believe its Jeep harness issue....

That's pretty sweet Rich, and a bit cheaper. I just emailed them regarding our blazers; I'll post back whatever response I get. Thanks!

Good for you BigEasy. Can't wait to hear your feedback. I've been leaning towards the truck-lites, but I haven't yet pulled the trigger. Good luck.

Ordered on Amazon and got them same day shipping. (Shipping was only $9.95)

Much better than Hellas I had.

Color is a bit on the blue side but not over the top. Only negative is the light is not as uniform as a projector beam. Not enough to be annoying but noticeable. The lights are bright where they need to be. Overall definitely worth the upgrade.

Did you happen to take a picture of the beam pattern displayed on a wall?

PS: now you need some LED front run/turn dignals...

Are these legal to run on the streets? I thought about buying the 4x6 squares to fit my 86 but I've been hesitating because I dont want to be hassled by the cops.

Re: Who is running LED Headlights?

They look great BigEasy! Did you have any fitment issues with the headlight rings, as it appears the headlights protrude further out?

I didn't use the provided harness...straight plug and play using an H4 connection straight to the headlight. They do stick out a bit as seen in the photo but not a deal breaker for me. I used the stock headlight ring with no issues or modifications. Took all of 20 minutes to install both....super simple.

Re: Who is running LED Headlights?

I wondered about that plug. I think they look Great on there! Ordered some myself.

Re: Who is running LED Headlights?

I think the plug adapter was for the Jeeps that use PWM...

I was thinking about modifing the headlight bezel so its less inset. Make it more flush with the front of the lense...

Correct on the adapter and I was thinking the same thing about modding the fit
