Sold mine today!

Thanks for all the data and help.

But. Sold mine today and I can start looking for the Sedan like Dad and I had together so many years ago....a Dodge!

As it is, its going to a good home. He's a bit younger than me but plans to sell his Japanese hybrid and drive this one daily as is, no bag suspension, no chopped out inner fenders, no stupid purple under body lights, no dingo balls across the windshield, no frame dragging on 37" rims with 1/4" sidewalls and spinning wheel centers, no way over carbed silly cammed V8 with dual exhaust xpipe crackly too loud belchfartmoangurgle sounding exhaust system.........basically, he appreciates it for what it is! A daily driver with some class. I am very happy and excited for both of us!

Signing out. Good luck to all of you!

Nah, he's not a bit interested in chopping out steel for air bags and silly large diameter tires.

I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a slam on those that do this. I say build your truck the way you like it, screw everyone else. That's why this hobby is great. I appreciate all the different styles, and wish I had enough time, money, and trucks to build one every way, haha.
At any rate, good luck to you.

so... you were talking about yourself in this post? quitting with some parting shots behind your screen?

its easy to appreciate all the different styles of trucks on this forum, from the squeaky clean oem guys to the wild customs to the rat rods to the old school drivers to the frame draggers to the resto mods and even some guys who do their own thing that doesnt match with any others. I like this site because of the diversity, and I sure wouldnt disparage one persons style because it doesnt match mine.

It sure would be boring if everybody did the same things to their trucks (or cars). I have built both and enjoyed both.

Well good luck to ya! Glad it went to a good home! And on a note...Believe it or not..Alot of people DO there trucks the same. Just take a look at the very common engine used in some 80+ percent of 60's chevys. lol The outsides are different, but seems every stinkin time ya pop the hood its just another sbc. So its all the same anymore. But anyhow, good luck to you and yer truck. :chevy:

Okay this post is going to end up bad so for the sake of sanity, I am closing it.

To the original poster, good luck with any of your future projects and maybe someday you'll be back with another truck.
