Lookie what I got! It's about time. I think they'll make a huge difference. Not pictured is the adjustable fuel regulator, guage, and new water pump.

Next is 1 wire alternator, new brackets and pulleys.

Those look like Hooker Comp headers......

You'll love them, they fit like a glove, lots of clearance for the starter too.

Shane 08-26-2003 10:55 AM

oh how i love that Big Brown Truck! :D

COBALT 08-26-2003 11:43 AM

Yep! After way too much deliberation I finally settled on Hooker Comp. Headers. They seemed to be the best, and I wanted to get something installed that wouldn't cause me to refit a bunch of stuff.

Don't know what mufflers I'm going to go with, but we'll see.

JimKshortstep4x4 08-26-2003 12:06 PM

You gotta love those Brown trucks!

Jim

Did he say where he is going next?I am waiting on some parts that should be here tommorow!:D

COBALT 08-26-2003 12:38 PM

I told him to drive around until he saw another 67-72 parked in front of someone else's house.

;)

boraxman 08-26-2003 01:13 PM

Let me know if you want to get rid of that rug.

COBALT 08-26-2003 01:15 PM

AHAHAHA!

I was completely confused. You got me. It figures with the stuff I've tried to sell on here that someone would get interested in the rug in the background of a picture!

I figured someone might say something when I snapped the pic, but then just tossed it out of my mind until now.

oldiron 08-26-2003 02:45 PM

Just so you don't have to worry about installing all of those parts on your truck I will be over tonight to get them for my truck. LOL
I think they would look nice on my 1 ton.

COBALT 08-26-2003 02:53 PM

Hands off!

*SMACK*

Yeah, I bet they would look good in that 1 ton of yours. They'd look good in any truck. That's why I got them!

:p

crazy longhorn 08-26-2003 03:11 PM

Cool! you will like the fit on the headers:D I have the painted comps, & am really pleased with the fit(& ground clearance on a lowered truck). Hey.....can you send the "brown truck " my way.....that dude has been a little scarce since he dropped off the Richmond overdrive! :D crazyL

Fleetlover 08-26-2003 03:41 PM

Gifts ?

Anytime the brown truck stops here I've laid out some cash. Must be nice when they deliver gifts .

GMCjunkie 08-26-2003 03:46 PM

Mr. Brown Truck brings GOODIES!! :D:D:D

dubie 08-26-2003 03:48 PM

Now if only the little brown truck paid for all the goodies, it would be a perfect world :D

busterwivell 08-26-2003 03:53 PM

I love it when the Big Brown Truck pulls up in front of the office. Have had the same driver for years. Mark can tell whether it's car parts for me or stuff for the office. I'm waiting now for the front suspension kit I ordered yesterday and the door handles I ordered today.

Summit's own brand. I of course wanted a chrome one, but the others were a tiny bit too expensive. I figured "what the hell", so I got Summit's. I've had pretty good luck with their namebrand stuff (part #: SUM-G1661; $199.50):

71-longbed 08-26-2003 05:34 PM

looks nice ...for 200 bucks imo it better last a long time and have a really good warrantee...how much lighter is it ??
