New radiator needed, any suggestions

Hi, I need a new radiator for my 1987 350 Auto. Do you need any other info ?

Any suggestions of suppliers would be appreciated, will need them to be able to ship to Australia.

Went to a local repairer here in Perth and he quoted me $750.00 to Recore it.

If looking for a direct fit summit has a brass unit . They also have some aluminum as well .

Dont know if summit ships over there or not or what the cost would be . If they still offer free shipping this would be a good option.

I have just had a look at ROCKAUTO and have seen the 'Spectra" brand radiators.
The core material is Aluminum with plastic tanks, are these a good option ?

Has anyone used these in their trucks ?

I've never used one, but I sell/warranty the crap out of them....:cuss:

I really dislike what has happened to quality parts in America (or anywhere else for that matter). Radiators were one of the first victims of the crap-wave of junk. The only good thing about them, is that they are so cheap, you can replace them 3-4 times before getting to what a quality radiator would cost...

I bought a Champion all aluminum radiator for my 78 454 suburban. Great price and a really nice piece for being made in China. No plastic tanks to fail (which they will). I have had it a year and so far no problems, temp actually seems to be lower then with the original Harrison brass radiator.

I've got one in the 78,replaced it once but that was punctured from the front.
I've heard they freeze/pop easier then all copper ,
,using the spectra gas tank/float too, no probs, made in Canada.
