78 SWB 4.8 swap questions

Hello,

I'm thinking of installing a 4.8 liter into my 78. I found one on CL for $2300 that has been sitting for three years, I was wondering is that a good price? Should I be concern that the motor has sat for three years?

Also I was wondering what others have done for fuel deliver. Did you install a new EFI gas tank? If so was it in the stock location and were did you get the tank? Any advice on this and anything else about the LS swap would be great.

Thanks

Wow for 2300 you could get a low mileage 6.0 with trans. I'd keep looking. Around here I can buy whole Silverado parts trucks for less than half that.

A decent under 100K miles 4.8 should be in the $1000-1200 price range. This would include the harness, ECU, pedal if drive by wire and manifolds.

Pacific Fab is one of the sponsors here who have 4.8's ready to run with a warranty for 1700.
