Driveshafts?

How common is it to break a drive shaft instead of a U-joint in 2wd with a 4spd? my truck only has a mild 350 under 400ft.lbs of torque and I twisted the shaft completely in two. My truck 74k5 started rolling back when I let off brakes on a small hill at a stop sign so I gave it a little more than usual to keep from hitting buddy who was following me and goodbye driveshaft didnt really give it my all but my truck doesnt have best gearing either 3.73 with 33s

I would say not common. Did you ever ding the driveshaft? I don't think it takes much to twist if it has ever been stressed. Hopefully it didn't tear anything else up.

I dont think I managed to ding it the driveshaft it was only about a month and a half old and my angles are pretty darn close if not right on I havent wheeled in anything that I have bottomed out on yet since the swap to a 4spd. Luckily it only dented a muffler that is the only damage that I have been able to tell
