Quadrajet jet size for a 350
i have a 800 cfm Q-jet off of a 78 burb 454 that im rebuilding to put on my goodwreanch 350 (260) horse and i broke the jets while i was trying to remove them, they probably would have been to rich for the 350 anyway, my question is what size jets and primary metering rods should i get for this 350 (only performance mod is edelbrock performer 2101 intake) also do ya'll think the secondary metering rods from that 454 will be to much

Re: Quadrajet jet size for a 350
I'd use whatever came with the carb, at least for a starting point. Jet size on a given carb doesn't automatically need to be smaller for a smaller engine. And sometimes it may actually be bigger. For example a hot street 350 may require a larger jet size than a mild 454 using the same carb.
Just thought of this: Get in touch with http://www.cliffshighperformance.com/to see what they recommend. |
