Body touch up suggestions...
 

Whats an easy inexpensive task to replace my door stripping back on where the old adhesive has worn off, It makes the driver side of truck look bad, I figured go by a sanding/grinding bit for a drill, sand it off good, and find a good glue/ adhesive to put it back on with. Also I wanted to touch up the spot on top of roof, where clear coating has faded, so whats the procedure, dry sand, we sand, clean then prep for a quick match paint touch up.What are some good suggestions , im not trying to make it a brand new looking truck, just wanted to remove some ugly spots.

On the door m3 makes a rubber wheel that will remove any body trim glue with out messing up the paint,As far as putting the trim back on 3m makes trim double sided tape that works well if everything is clean,Now the roof your best bet is to re paint the roof anything else will just be a bandaid over the problem.

For a less than stellar, but passable and cheap fix:

I had good luck getting the spray touchup paint from AutoZone, taping off, scuffing the bad paint (sand or scuff pad depending on surface issues), and re-spraying a few coats. Where it met decent paint, I used a little rubbing compound (weeks later) to clean up the OE paint and blend into the newly painted areas.

Both of my red beater cars had a lot of black and white "rub" marks on the bumpers from years of abuse as college cars. I cleaned them up with the above method, and it looked decent from 30 feet away. Removing the pot smoke smell from the interior was much harder to do.
