1965 k20 front leaf springs

So I am contemplating sending my springs to get the top leaf rebuilt and replaced because my top spring is arched. But my question is. Does anyone know of a company or shop local or in the mid west. That can offer replacements other than LMC Truck. Any help is appreciated. :metal: thanks

Or see if you can find a spring shop in your phone book?

I use a local spring shop. They are all over. I've always used the same shop forever and they treat me right. I've had them handle the complete job and it doesn't cost much more. Light truck leaf springs are gravy work for them. What I fight with for days they get done in a couple hours. I spend the money I save on shipping on labor

This is what I was leaning towards. I honestly think that it is just the top leaf spring on the passenger side That's sagging or cracked. Hoping itd be an easy fix. I have a set of 4" lift spring I could toss on but really don't want it to much taller. I use all of my pickups for there intended use. And picking somthing up another 4" just sounds counter productive  not saying there's anything wrong with a tall truck.

I think I'm going to yank them this weekend and sometime next week I'll bring them into a local shop. They seem to have good reviews. Spring works..think that's the name. We will see.

Hey! My Big Ugly resembles that remark!

But seriously, go with a spring shop. The aftermarket 4" lift springs I bought are far too stiff. Eventually I plan to shackle flip the rear and have custom fronts made.

Good luck!

I have gotten all of mine from McVeighs in Mio Michigan. They source them from Harrisburg PA. I wanted stuff made in the USA. Ask for Tom. He worked on the "old stuff" before it was the "old stuff" and will know exactly what you need. He also beat LMCs prices.

Hey Matt, Look up Betts Spring. They have been around forever also and I have used them a bunch of times form springs to custom U bolts while you wait. I think they may be in San Jo but they used to be in Oakland. Check em out. They do suspensions for a lot of big rigs and their quality is second to none in my book.

I just found a guy this weekend literally who has ever part. I need to finish my truck...Ira just on a 65 k10. That beat up pretty bad. I'm wondering if he will trade parts so he can have my bad ones and some cash then he can still sell the truck like he wants with all of the original running gear I'll just have snagged the good parts haha its a long shot but worth a shot.

kinda like one mans junk is another mans "junk". sometimes folks dont care if its junk, just to have original parts to make them new again. thats my style!!!
