Power Steering Issue on '70 K-10

I recently replaced the power steering system on my '70 K-10 including the gear, pump and hoses. The only part of the system that was not replaced was the pulley.

Now, the fluid is coming out the cap. I thought it was air in the system, so I cycled the steering several times. This seemed to help, so I started driving the truck.

I've now put over 200 miles on it since the new system was installed and am still getting 'boil-over' out the cap. I've checked all the connections and everything is tight. (Hose clamps and hoses are all new.)

My frustration level is peaking. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Make sure you're using PS fluid and not ATF. Let the truck sit at least a few hours if it's been running so the foam goes down. Jack the front up. Take the cap off the reservoir. With the engine OFF turn the steering wheel lock to lock slowly a few times. Check level and top off. Do the last 2 steps until it's all bled.

It took a while, but I think it's finally clear. Thank you for your help!
