New Gal from Northern California

I recently bought this 1969 C/30 Chevy open road camper.(yes it's being towed) Really don't know what I was thinking that day! Anyway I found this site the first time I tried to do some research on this puppy. Found it to be full of knowledgeable & friendly folks :c2: It's was a hand me down from the in-laws to a fellow who only used it once, maybe twice, a year to travel down to Sears Point with his buddies to watch NASCAR races for about 5 years. Then as life happens they all starting having families and let this poor puppy lay under some redwoods for last 7 years. I have only owned cab over camper's in the past, so I have no experience with attached campers and the in's & out's of working on these. At present I have it at my mechanic's going thru to see just how bad of a condition it is in(mechanically) I.E. is it worth restoring $$$$$.
He still hasn't gotten over the fact it ain't got no parking gear:confused:. I am hoping to meet some great people here to assist me in all the ups & downs, I have gotten myself into, with your input & support as I go along. I will be grateful for all input you all have to offer me. Shawn

It looks like a queen camper where the back folds up like the first pop out for sleeping space.

I like it! It is only worth restoring if you think it is. If your asking if you do restore it, can you get your money out of it? Heck no! None of us expect to get all our money out of our projects or resto's, its just the way it is!

If it doesnt leak in the camper, it is worth using for a get away vehicle at minimum.

My daughter and SIL lived in Eureka for a few years ( left a year or so ago) they enjoyed their time there, Ive been on a visit and was cool little place- especially the micro breweries!!!

Good luck on whatever you choose to do, we all love trucks here, no matter if they are short girls or big girls like you have.
