Front Seats

Does anyone know if the seats out of a 2003-04-05-06 Silverado or Sierra will work in a 1967 GMC without any kind of major issues?

I looked at those exact seats also and my take was that they would sit way to tall in my truck (at least 2-3") and it didn't feel right with the small cabin, big steering wheel and no tilt steering column. And mind you that I am a short guy, lol.

Re: Front Seats

They have been done before, but as mentioned they do sit very tall compared to the stock seats, and don't leave much room between the wheel.

They will fit in your truck.. I just came from a show that truck had those seats in a truck like ours. I would of liked to have had these seats too but the seats seemed huge in this truck. If you do put them in hopefully you have an automatic. They are definitly wider than the stock seat as in front to back width..

Thx for the reply's. Do all of you still have the gas tank behind the seat or does that make any difference?

removing the gas tank makes no difference

these seats are very thick pushing you closer to the steering wheel so not for teh long legged type

Attachment 1388921I bought a similar set for my truck. My plan was to remove the head rest and seat belt. They do sit a little tall in the cab. I built mounts as low as they would go and this is what they look like.

Another pic. I couldn't get two pics on the same reply for some reason. Also, I'm not sure why it is sideways

Like your steering wheel. Could you tell what it's from

I like the car wheel, too. Are the wheels turned or is it upside down when pointed straight?

Re: Front Seats

The wheel is on upside down. It is a wheel that was laying around that I put on just to move the truck around. I think it is from a 64 Chevelle.
