63 C20 longbed stepside
3 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone I've got a 63 c20 longbed stepside
It was my great grandfathers truck and decided it was mine when I was 3 years old (I'm now 20) I put off working on it throughout high school because I had other projects and limited time but now while in college I've began the long process of making into the truck I've always dreamed it would be. Over the past 1.5 years I've done a partial restoration to get it on the road. So far: -Lt9 350 swapped from an 86 Sierra 3500 -stock rebuilt quadrajunk -(summit k1104 cam in box to be put in) -block hugger shorty headers -3" to true dual side exit through jegs chambered mufflers -Original 3 on the tree brand new heavy duty clutch (won't last long) nv4500 planned for this summer -unsure which rear diff it's a big 12 bolt -3 chamber aluminum radiator rated to 500hp -replaced front fender bottoms, rockers, cab corners - rolled my own sections for the drivers floor that was rotted out and made filler pieces for the passenger foot well -minor bodywork but nowhere near done -rattle can rust-oleum matte black body, gloss bumpers (for now) -16x8 235/75/16 front, 16x10 265/75/16 rear -rx7 headlights with 8000k 55w HIDs Future/this summer: Do the body work right Repaint body metallic gunmetal with gloss black trim Vortec heads or port stock heads High rise intake Holly carb Break power booster |

Great looking 63 longbed. Glad to see you started a thread and looking forward to more pics and updates on the progress.
Very cool to have the family history you have with the truck. |

First job tackled, not the best solution but it works.
Attachment 1395038 Next onto the drivers rocker and floor, at first i thought it would only need a piece of angle and a patch piece on the rocker but it was rotted all the way through Attachment 1395039 Decided go cut out the whole rocker it would have been too much to patch it.Attachment 1395041 Luckily my uncle had a new replacement rocker from his 64 GMC K10Attachment 1395042 |
