Possible LS Swap Shop or Ready to Run Pkg
Is there a shop that specializes in LS swaps near Nashville or anywhere in the south? Pretty new to the entire situation (700 miles on my build), and I'm not a wrench myself. Looking at a motor swap and the LS has been on the radar since I did my build. Or is there someone that has an entire LS Swap Package available that I could purchase that my builder could install? Someone with a ton of experience to minimize the issues that arise.
Coming from a 327/TH400 setup that is not exciting me since my daily driver is a 6.2 with a diablo tune. Thanks guys. |
Re: Possible LS Swap Shop or Ready to Run Pkg
Full packages exist but they you pay a rediculous premium for them. The easiest way is to locate a donor vehicle (truck, car, medium duty, whatever) and take all the parts you need from that vehicle. That way everything is already in place, and the only other parts you need would be aftermarket stuff like having the harness done (or at least reworked).
A shop thats done LS swaps before would have no problem doing the job with a donor vehicle, unless they INSIST that they source the parts for you. |

Rob owner operator of 'No Limit' is a memeber here. He just moved his California shop to Dandridge, Tennessee
He would be more than helpful in a swap.:chevy: http://www.nolimitengineering.com/products |
