First 4x4

Hey, I am looking for a good first 4x4 fullsize pickup truck to do some wheeling in. It has been suggested that I get a 73 to 86 3/4 ton, what do ya all think? I want a solid truck for a good price, and last, does anyone know of any in Ontario? Also, what is a good price for a good condition truck like this?

Thanks!

That year range should be good as you will have a good supply of trucks in good condition, parts are readily available and the lift companies have you covered too. You can get a truck of that vintage around here for $1,500 to $3,000. You will find more 1/2 tons and if your gonna wheel and lift it, but not abuse it, probably no reason not to consider a 1/2 ton.
