Question about rear door panels
My reuck didnt come with rear door panels originally but I have a pretty nice pair I was going to use on it. So today before I started painting the tub, I mounted all the stand offs then put one panel on to see how it fit. The front fits great, but the back is horrible. The panels are a little warped in back, but im a full half inch short? The bottom just barely touches the lower bracket, so no way to put the screws in, and also I have a gap at the back of the wheel well. If I put the upper chrome strip at an angle, down in the back the gap goes away, but then the chrome strip looks funny, not to mention there is no way to screw it to the bedside that way. Anybody else ran into this? Not sure if I made new cardboard pieces for the back that weren't warped if that would help? Anyone ever replaced the cardboard backs?

This is what it looks like if I put it in the upper chrome strip like I would think it should be..

In the chrome strip, there's no way I can get the 3 screws in the bottom to go into the stand off piece, it's about a half inch or so off, and theres a gap you can put your finger in between the panel and wheel well.

If I make it so that the screws in the bottom go in and take the wheel well gap away, it looks like this at the top.I'm thinking of making new cardboard pieces for them and stretching the vinyl out. Has anyone done this successfully?

Re: Question about rear door panels
I know this may sound stupid but is it possible the cardboard got wet and shrunk. I never had the rear panels on my truck. Bought some 1/4" pressboard and made my own.

Re: Question about rear door panels
If your truck had these panels you need to allow for carpet & sound deadener including wheel well carpet
