Question on Heads!
I got a 383 Stroker I am building, We so ave have gotten THe crank...Scat 6 In. Rods....Keith Black Sig. Series 121 Pistons....Rings and Bearing and seals and wat not. Now, We got the flywheel and balencer in today and goin to get the Oil Pump and Pan sometimes this week. My ? is....I need some really great flowing heads....not thinknig of a price range...I want the BEST of the BEST. Money is not in play here ok. I am asking yall b/c...heads arent my forte lol. So, as for an Intake i'll prolly go with the Torker II w/ a Speed Demon Carb...but I am not sure on that righ now. Cam..still undecied as well. I am putting all this on here so yall can give me a good suggestion on heads. So please any help would be GREAT :) :) Thx alots guys!!!

I would reccomend the edelbrock Performer RPM heads or the E-tec 170. I had great success with my 383 with the RPM heads. Just remember that bigger is not better for the street:)

hard to say b/c you don't know the cam but afr 195's would probly be the best perfroming head on that motor, depending on your compression and cam.

Yeah, is it going to be mostly street? If not just street, try some World Products Motown heads.

Cainfield makes some great aluminum heads that outflowed a pair of AFR 220's [they were 215-220cc cainfields, the test is over at www.chevelles.com in the performance section if anyone is interested] AFR's are also still great heads. Pro action is supposed to be a big up and coming company. Edelbrocks ETEC 200 or victor jr heads are also good pieces. Now if money is REALLY no object, then look into some 18* heads. One last thing: Unless you have hood clearence issues, forget the torquer 2 intake. A victor jr will outperform it by far. |
