Help Steering Wheel pump issue
I'm no mechanic by any means but I'm not scared to pull some tools out and get some grease on my hands. With that said it seems my power steering fluid is leaking and it looks like it's from where the hose connects to a "crimped" metal piece. How hard is it to swap out that hose and if needed that crimped piece?
Thanks in advance. |
Re: Help Steering Wheel pump issue
That's the pressure side, easy to do. Hardest part is making sure you get the right hose. If the truck has mismatched replacements you'll have to know what style fitting you have. There was just a thread on this yesterday. If you take the hose off and take it with you to the parts store that will help.

Would I need to drain the fluid first?

I buy the the little rubber vacuum plugs and use them on lines to stop them up while working on stuff.l:chevy:
