Need steering on steering.
 

I have been resisting putting the modern column in my truck. I still have the original column that came with the truck which was a 3 speed. I'm putting in a 4L80E tranny and I know the column needs to be rebuilt. Is there anyone out there that rebuilds columns that can convert this one for automatic use?

I think you can just use one out of the 81 and newer square body 1/2 and maybe some 3/4 ton trucks.In 81 they went to the 700r4 trans so the shifter should have the same number of gears.
