disc brake conversion brake line size

I've got a 69 that I converted the brakes over to disc on the front... I've noticed the brake line coming off of the front of stock 72 prop valve that im using in the conversion is smaller in diameter than the same line in the 69 setup. Just wondering does this matter?

I've always used 3/16" brake lines on any of the rods or trucks I've plumbed and never had a problem. I also buy the correct size inverted flare fittings from Inline Tube so I don't have to use adapters.

I also use 3/16 brake lines on all my builds. I usually buy 25 foot rolls at Carquest

Re: disc brake conversion brake line size

Thanks guys. The 69 has 1/4 line front and back on prop valve but the line on the front of the 72 prop valve is smaller coming out of MC, into Prop and out of prop. I just didn't know of it was smaller because of disc brakes and needed to be smaller in order for the brakes to perform correctly. So the larger line doesn't matter... that's what I needed to know.

factory setup for a 71 and later disk/drum setup is 3/16 for front disk and 1/4 for rear drum.
