Gas tanks

Any of you fellas paint your new gas tanks before you install them. I was thinking of buying a couple of them from Brothers and painting them with rust seal before installing them? Thank, Al

I painted my new tank, 18 years ago, and it's still mostly painted today. Easy job, so why not.

That must be what mine is. I was looking at the tank in my parts truck and it is still shiny silver color. I put it in back in the mid 90's. I'll be pulling it out soon because I need it.
