Seat Differences

I'm looking to buy a seat, but the add says its for a 73-80 chevy truck, mine is a 81. What is the difference between a 73-80 bench seat, and a 81-87 bench seat?

The seat track mounting is different. I went to put an 80 seat in my 87 and the 87 seat tracks would not directly bolt to the 80 seat. The 73-80 seat will bolt to your 81 floor if the seat comes with the tracks. The adjuster lever will be on the side instead of the front.

Some 81 and all 82-87 had holes in seat for seat belts.

Yea my 81 has the holes in the seat for the seatbelts, I'm going to pass on it, thanks for the info.

Yea its in santa fe springs, shame its not for a 81-87 it would have been in my garage already.

good looking seat. I want one that tilts looks like that one didn't.
