Hi have 97 Tahoe 4x4 4 door 1/2 ton have a plow on front does anyone no what 3/4 or 1 ton bar with fit I have read the Tahoe have a short 51inch bar anyone ran into this problem. Thanks Doug

I can't answer your question as to the length of the bars. I can tell you if you are looking to raise the front end just to level the truck you can crank the torsion bars up to raise it a couple of inches. I place a jack under the frame just behind the front wheel and raise it until the wheel drops all the way down to remove as much tension on the bar jacking bolt as I can. Then spray lube the jacking bolt and tighten it up while counting the turns. Then move to the other side and do the same. 8 or 10 turns should yield about 2" lift. This is assuming your truck hasn't been lifted already. Also with adjusting the ride height you may need a front end alignment since the camber will change some.
