Changing locks on Subruban?

Avid outdoors person here and lost an item from my Suburban that had a spare set of keys in it. Not sure if it was stolen of left behind, either way I am concerned about those keys being out in the wild and someone knowing they keys are to my vehicle.

So what is involved in changing door locks out? I had to replace the ignition switch so I am familiar with that. I would think doors are straight forward but I have never taken one apart.

If memory serves me, there are 2 bolts. One on the outside of the door in the jam area and the other is inside the door that hold the outside handle assembly to the door. Once these are out, you're there.

My 97 was stolen a couple years ago and I had dropped my extra key in center console that day. Got the truck back but not keys. I bought new locks, but the doors and ignition did not match and that seemed like a pain so i took the original locks to a locksmith and he rekeyed them to match Ignition. After pulling door panel I was able to remove locks by only loosening door handle assembly.

I was wondering if I couldn't have that done.

The keys for doors and locks were different from the factory on a 93 and I am used to that. But, so far I have not found a matching 3 lock set for suburban. I may just get an new ignition switch and then take out the door locks and have them re-keyed.
