Pros and cons of getting an AC cab.

One thing that has come with replacing my fuel lines and cab bushings has been the realization of just how much rust and bondo is in my cab. It seems to be much more cost-effective to get a new cab and I think I can for about $800.00.

AC would be nice although I like the stock look....

What do you guys think? Should I get an AC cab and put in AC?

My truck is a 1972 Custom 10, 250 I6, 3OTT.

Factory A/C looks stock because it is. It's more a matter of whether you want A/c or not. The only difference in looks is the three vents

I would if I had the opportunity. You will have to locate other parts necessary for the conversion, brackets, pulleys, etc

If you feel the cab is a good buy then you could always weld in the AC holes if ya don't want AC, another option is to swap out the dash's but that requires drilling spot welds along the lower windshield. Don't forget tho that there are some small differences in the cabs thru the years that a sharp DMV guy may find, not basic shape but little stuff, plus hi or low hump tranny tunnels, so try and get the title with the cab.

The factory ac cab can b used as heat only if you run the cooling lines to the vents you dont need ac if you dont want it but later you can add the ac to keep cool

you don't need to buy an AC cab for air, just buy the Vintage Air unit and you're set
