Looks great, I have a 68 did a very similar swap.

Re: The Blue Magoo, bye bye straight 6
Funny Rob. Your work is a world nicer than mine. I'm jamming on it tho. Jumping in the Power Tour with it in Alabama.

Re: The Blue Magoo, bye bye straight 6
Very cool. Those new LS motors are the cats azz.
I'll have to remember that little trick with the steam port. I just drilled an 1/8" hole and threaded it, inserted a pipe to barb fitting, and jambed the hose on. |

Re: The Blue Magoo, bye bye straight 6
Looks great! I love the mirrors on that truck, you don't see them very often on the SB's. How do you like the swap? I'm thinking of ditching my 6 somewhere down the road but I will be having a shop do it, just a bit beyond my abilities.

Re: The Blue Magoo, bye bye straight 6
Nice truck! I tried making in down there for Tour, but other plans got in the way.

Re: The Blue Magoo, bye bye straight 6
Thanks guys. The mirrors are either love em or hate em. They were in the bed of the truck when I bought it so I put them back on, now it wouldn't be right without them. Kinda like the c-channel rear bumper.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...psiflj8qjc.jpg The ls swap is a no brainer to me. Too many positives not to do it. I've got 2 more setups waiting on new projects. One is a 5.3/4l60 and one is a magnacharged 6.0/4l80. I'm sold on it. |
