How long are the plastic tubes inside the seatbelt retractor?
 

Opened up my seatbelt retractor and found thisAttachment 1412094 I need to know the overall length of these tubes. I want to make a metal one and see if that works. Just seems like the plastic ones are junk. Might try PVC also, I think that would be stronger also but lighter thàn metàl.

If somebody said it was excactly the same size as the sleeve for the bolt that would be good enough for me. As you can tell I won't be getting any info from mine and the one in jockos pic is screwed up too. Not askin anybody to go out and measure lol. Just thought somebody migh have one on their bench or maybe just know from memory, thanks.

I cant answer because I am not at home and working in Kauai, but just wanted to say that's the best question in a while.

This will require some in depth knowledge. I bet SS Tim has an exploded view with dimensions.

Well Since I couldn't find the measurement I needed I just went at it trial and error style. Seems like 2 inches is the magic number.
