Hello 67-72 Guyz & Galz
Hello… I'm in the process of building a 65 short stepper and just traded a rat rod project for a 72 LWB...:metal:
The first new vehicle I remember my dad buying was a 72 LWB that was red with a straight 6, 3 on the tree and no power anything… Being 11 at the time, I thought that was the coolest truck I'd ever seen...:mm: He traded that one for a 76 just as I was learning to drive...:waah: And like the 72, the 76 was I6, 3 on the tree and no power, learn to drive on that set-up and you can drive anything... Not sure of my plans yet, the deal has just been done and I'll post more pics once I get it home…;) Here are a few from this past Saturday when a friend of mine made me the offer… https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/366/17...c55a38a9_c.jpgIMG_3510 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/369/17...a4193256_c.jpgIMG_3511 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8869/1...d96c08b5_c.jpgIMG_3509 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/542/18...aea3a186_c.jpgIMG_3583 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr I will start a build thread once I put some plans together...:chevy: |

Re: Hello 67-72 Guyz & Galz
The outer grille looks to be in great shape...I could use one of those. Good starting point, to say the least. I learned to drive my dad's '67 with a 283, 4-speed granny floor shift, manual brakes, manual steering, and no a/c in the desert. Driveshaft fell off on my first driving lesson with my pop...scared the crap out of me  Try driving without all the amenities...and no driveshaft

Re: Hello 67-72 Guyz & Galz
Welcome to our side Don. Starting with a running, driving truck is a good deal. I think i've seen that truck around town.

Re: Hello 67-72 Guyz & Galz
I like the "ratty" look of it. Doesn't necessarily look like patina since it's not "natural". Great truck nonetheless.
