Torque Spec for Crank Pulley Bolts

Does anyone know the torque specification for the 3 bolts which attach the crank pulley on my 83 454 BB? I see 35# to 85# and anything in between. The bolts are 3/8"-16 x 1". Thanks.

35 ft.lbs. is what I tighten the 3 bolts to, pulley to balancer. Balancer to crank is 85 ft.lbs.

Re: Torque Spec for Crank Pulley Bolts

Thanks I saw a chart with 3/8"-16 bolts specified for 35# dry, 40# we, so I might go with 40# since I am using Loctite 243(this is the second time the crank pulley bolts came loose and the pulley broke off.) I got some 3/8"-16 x 1" zinc dichromate flange bolts, grade 8, so I am hoping these stay in place.

i got a cheap chrome plated steel pulley on Amazon for $48 since the local speed shop wanted $70+ for one that had the chrome plating bubbled up, and the only OEM one I found was about $80 for NOS. Since my truck has a habit of eating these, I thought I would get the cheapest one I could find. I don't know why the bolts keep coming loose- the balancer looks OK when the engine is running - no oscillation, vibration or noise. I hope Loctite helps.
