at least I find it exciting, 20" tube type wheels and tires are becoming a pain to find/deal with. Here is a 22.5" tuless "dayton" style rim designed to mont on 20" spokes....

I thought I read somewhere that all 22.5 Dayton style rims fit any "originally 20" hubs? I have no real knowledge, just repeating what I thought I read.

this all came about with the advent of radial truck tires... Just leave the lug nuts on at least all the threads whilst you loosen the wedges or severe bodily harm could be done...

I just swapped the 9.00 20 Bias tube types on split rims for a set of 11R22.5's that I had on my old Looserville 9000 donor truck... two reasons, first I had them laying around and second they were much bigger in diameter to offset the 7.20:1 axles and the loss of 2500 engine RPM when switching from the 350 Chevy to the Detroit... as the need to use the overdrive roadranger (which can be modded into a homebrew double overdrive) and the Rockwell transfer case which is 0.75 OD in high range...

not even all 20" wheels fit all 20" hubs.

Sure glad I hit on this thread. Maybe you guys can direct me to a source for 5 lug 22.5 rims; I've got to get larger diameter rims for my project based on a Dodge M500 motorhome chassis with a Cummins engine, I currently have 19.5 and they have too many rev's per mile. Thanks, Jim
