looking for 67-72 C60 owners for HELP!
ok guys I am putting my C60 back together, it was dissasembled some 10-15 years ago, I am scouring my mess for bolts and such but I am sure some of it has gotten lost in 2 moves. I may need some photo's or other reminders of how and where things went. if anyone has a complete fairly original one Speak up please I may need to lean on you!
Also... mine is a 427 with a 5 speed, has a big heavy Double disc clutch in it. any recommendations on a new pressure plate? ( or even where I may find parts to rebuild the old one ) https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3800/1...8de8c07e_c.jpg it may have had a throw out bearing issue before it came apart. |

Any automotive supply house dealing in medium duty trucks should have no problem . Custom Clutch in Cleveland, for example .

well the clutch issue I am having is my Disc measures at 12" , no one has a reference going back to 68-69 and the newer stuff all says it is a 13" clutch... so maybe they measure something other than the disc or .... anyway, I am more interested in getting pictures of Say the front motor mounts and stuff, I don't think I have everything that came off of mine and it has been so long I certainly do not recall what went where.

measure the flywheel and the clutch cover disc surface and see if its not 13". c60 with a 427 should have a 13" disc. a c30 or c40 with a 350 would be 12"

Flywheel is big! Would take a 13" easily, my pressure plate measures 12" ....there are two.....just so as to be clear ...it is a dual disk set up.... Well the contact surface is 12....I can get 13 if I go to the bolt circle....that is why I was wondering how they were measured.

So you have a flywheel, a disc then a center plate and then another disc and then the cover? That's going to be hard to find in a regular parts house, you need a heavy truck part house or a clutch rebuilder.
try these guys http://www.alaskaclutchrebuilders.com/ they may be able to point you in the right direction. |
