Window crank handle question

Were the original window cranks metal or plastic? I found some plastic ones like pictured but would prefer the durability of metal if available.

Depends on the year.... That style started in 1977. Regardless they interchange physically with each other.

1980. They match my handles. But either way, are they metal or plastic?

the style you posted are plastic with an aluminum trim glued in. the older style 67 to 76 is metal handle with a plastic knob. Sorry if I was not very clear.
