1992 S10 worth

Sorry if this is the wrong section. My brother in law has a 92 s10 destined for the scrap yard because the motor is locked up and the trans is missing. I told him that he should sell it to someone rebuilding an older truck to use the frame and running gear. I think he is set on making $100 and moving on, but I would like him to make a little more and provide someone else with a good foundation for s project. What would be an appropriate price I ask for a non running truck?

I bought an '85 for $400. Everything was there; but the 2.8L v6 had a knock.

It is worth what someone is willing to pay.
With no engine or tranny, and while solid, isn't in that great of condition, I would personally pay just above scrap price for that truck.

However, that is just me. Your buddy might be able to get 250-350 for it if he isn't in a hurry to get rid of it.
