FM & USB not bad
I found this today, cheap I think.
http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/a...MG_11431_1.jpg http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/a...MG_11441_3.jpg The only think I don't like is: when the electric fan turns on, the sound makes a noise. Tell me if there is something to take away noise. Also there is no AM stations but for 30bucks what can I expect. |
Re: FM & USB not bad
Are you saying that when you turn the key on the electric radiator fan turns on and you get a buzzing noise out the speaker? or do you mean the heater fan? or is there a fan inside the radio? never seen nothing like that before.
Try replacing the plugs and wires with resistor units to keep speaker noise at bay |
Re: FM & USB not bad
That stereo would make a nice AM project. Gut an AM radio and adapt the internals of this to it.... now the wheels are spinning. Not much of a radio though, it's hardly a faceplate even!

Re: FM & USB not bad
That's pretty cool. I was looking online to see if it could be purchased and it looks like a Mexico only item. Did you get it at a swap meet or something?
I think if you tried to transplant the guts into an AM....you would have an issue with the Display. It would be nice if it was FM and Bluetooth... For your noise problem. It could be that you need a power line or antenna line filter. Or maybe try changing where you are getting the 12v for the radio from in the fusebox. |

Re: FM & USB not bad
Thank you swamp rat: yes electric fan radiator
I'll post more pictures and the box package tonight when I get home, for me sounds good is not a great system but sounds good and also we don't need to cut nothing |
Re: FM & USB not bad
youll need to put a noise suppressor on the positive wire (red). you see them on the kewoods and such
|
Re: FM & USB not bad
I see it also has an SD card slot. I always took the stock radios out to put good stereos in anyway. I'd rather listen to good sounding music than look at a stock radio face.

Thank you Michael. Now I think I could find the noise supressor at Radio Shak

This old post may interest you guys. I have used these directions and the hardest thing about it was finding a radio shack still in business. Search:

Re: FM & USB not bad
yes sir. I used those instructions, two 4in speakers from wall mart. cut the original truck speaker out, lined it with black felt and screwed the speakers to it. Works flawlessly.

Extreme Active Wear?
I guess they make radios AND clothes for X-games competitors. :) If the volume is those two little buttons, do the knobs do anything? |

Re: FM & USB not bad
This is the answer:
Everyting begins when I went to a electric parts in Tijuana because I did need to fix the or replace the temperature fan switch, when I saw this radio that took my attention and asked the cost. I understand this forum has rules and I don't pretend make bussines but if one of you would like to have one I could help you. I told the clerk that I went to upload this information at this forum and may be someone would like to have one. The only thing this was the last one but He said they can ask for more in stock |
Re: FM & USB not bad
