Tuck wont start after replacing valve cover gaskets!

i have a 1982 chevy pickup and i just replaced my valve cover gaskets and when i went start the engine all it did was turn over but did not start. i have the right amount of oil, gas and the battery is good. i checked all my hoses and vacuum lines and they are good also. Whats wrong?

Make sure you didn't accidentally bump the power wire for the distributor.

Check the wires and make sure you didnt crack the distributor cap......crank it at night in the dark look for a spark coming through the cap..........

Check each plug wire is routed to the correct plug. Every time my nephew touches a plug wire, he crosses them up. No matter how careful he is, it always happens.

I bet you used the wrong valve cover gaskets.....

Sorry, had to do it. Check to see if you have spark at the plugs.

Hey guys thanks for all the input it just so happened to be that all I had to do was put a little bit of gas in my carb. It had been setting a while because I've been so busy so I'm sure some of that gas evaporated.
