Anyone ever stuck an SA-8 behind the seat of a 67-72?
Hello all! Got a question for ya. So, I have in my possession an SA-8 V1.5, a 375-watt RMS amp, a capacitor (if I need it), and I just ordered some 4-gauge welding cable.
My question is, have any of you ever put an SA-8 or something similar behind the seat of your truck? If so, how did you mount it, and how does it sound? Links or pictures to your box build? Thanks! |

i'd start by measuring the room available, it should fit
i googled the sub but found no depth measurement truk runs a single 10'' arc audio sub behind the pass seat (along with the battery) and 2 arc audio amps; 400x1 and 600x4 behind the drivers seat space for the sub is behind the sub and arm rest http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...re/subbox2.jpg http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...0529091520.jpg sub enclosure follows the stick profile http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...interior12.jpg http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...gre/subbox.jpg |

If you are running a bench, the seat is going to need to be way up. Those are a BIG 8" sub and need a significant amount of space behind them. If you DO get it into the cab, it'll be all you need for a standard cab though.
