Hi, I just purchased a 1972 c30 camper special with the camper over cab and arranging shipping it. The shipper is wanting to know how much the whole set-up weighs. Any help this would be great. Thanks Jeff

So it is a separate truck and camper combo correct? (ie: NOT a motorhome) meaning the camper is currently sitting up in the bed of the truck and is removeable?
Ok then:
the truck probably comes in somewhere in the 4800-5000lb range. Then the camper depends on its size (length), year and type. Older campers are heavier, newer ones are not.
A couple of quick weights guesses (if the camper is older) would be:
8ft camper (no bathroom)...approx. 1600lbs
9ft camper (w/ bathroom)...approx 2000 lbs
10ft-11ft camper (w/ bathroom)...2500 lbs
(note: Campers if they are super large and deluxe can climb all the way up to 3000lbs and would typically need a big dually to haul...but I'm guessing that isn't the case here)
So assuming you have about a 9ft+ camper you are going to be probably between 7500-8000 lbs would be my guess....not too much more...and probably not too much less.
(Don't forget loaded and with water, propane, food, gear etc....you can usually tack on an extra 400-500 lbs)
