No tail/brake lights

1 Attachment(s)
A few days ago my head lights quit working and the motor shut off going down the road. Finally traced it to where the wires plug into the firewall (shown in pic.) Not getting good connection and shorting. Took care of that and now I have no tail/ brake lights.. but I do have turn signals. I'm trouble shooting a few things but also wanted yall's opinion since I've got a show/ cruise tonight. I think of i knew what fuse powered tail/ brake lights id get closer. Any ideas would be awesome. Oh and no power at tail light on the brake/ light side. Thanks

Check the fuse holder . Use a test lamp and touch it to the clip not the fuse. They look a bit crusty and I have seen a bad connection here. Have you checked the bulbs? The weird thing is you have signals which are the same filament in the bulb as brake lamps. Also check the headlamp switch plug for corrosion.

It might be the turn signal switch as the brake lights run through it before going out to the brake lamp bulbs. This might help? http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...ps042cee9e.jpg

Thank you.. that's exactly what it was. I spent all freaking day thinking it was something more serious and just before I got your message I thought I'd try cleaning those fuse clips and sure enough that's all it was, as usual.. something simple. Thank you.

I am glad it was easy to repair.
