Do I need U joints if I raise my steering box?

Hi guys, Ive been looking and cant find info on raising the steering box after sectioning the CM,

I found one thread where a guy left the box stock and used a few ujoints to re route the shaft around the UCA. That leaves the front end geometry off still though.

My question is do I need Ujoints if I raise my steering box? Or does the shaft and box just raist up and work smooth>? The reason Im asking is because I raised mine up and it seems to bind up now a bit.

Thanks

Have a good week,
