Seat adjustment help
3 Attachment(s)
Here is a picture of my seat the lever pulls the drivers side but not the passenger side release. What am I missing? Before I put the seat cover on a hook fell off is there suppose to be a hook in the middle to put some tension on the bar to help it out?
thanks |
Re: Seat adjustment help
Yes some are hooks, some have a spring and some use hog rings. Read this thread it has lots of pics for reference

Re: Seat adjustment help
Try putting 2 opposing bends a few inches apart in the middle of the rod connecting the driver and passenger side releases. That will effectively take up some slack. That worked on my driver side bucket which is essentially the same design as the bench release. You may need to experiment a bit. Also, lube the passenger side release.

Re: Seat adjustment help
As long as you have it out this is the opportunity to watch the pass side when you engage the driver side. does the rod look too long or too short? I've seen short springs used but a hog ring or small S hook will work, if its too long...

I think that you do need the hook to tension the connecting wire - otherwise the passenger side seat slide gate will not release coincident with the driver's side slider gate
Photo attached.. (I hope) ... (I heard it is tricky to attach photos on this site and this is my first try) Good luck! |
