55-56 grill inserts
 

I have a 57 swb. my grill goes into the body 4" at the bottom and 3" at the top. I have modified the engine compartment with IFS, a 454, big radiator with electric fans, a/c condensor with a 12" pusher fan, custom radiator mounts.
Now I have 1" to set the grill into the clip and the rest sticks out.
How thick is a 55-56 grill? Will it fit the hole? Any other ideas?
