I think I found the owners but they didn't want to talk about it http://i1245.photobucket.com/albums/...psrsggtuiy.jpg |
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
ive seen pics of this version before, looks like a early avalanche
i thnk they were sold in south america and mexico but im not sure |
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
I'd like to see more of it , especially if it was a production vehicle in another country.
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
Heck, if that's a factory product from another market....I want one.....too cool
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
Looks like the prototype of the Avalanche. I like it.
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
The forth door really throws me off how it was made
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
That picture in on Jalopnik and the headline is "Why South American Truck Culture is better than ours"
However that doesn't look like any C-10 or Veraneio I've seen https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media...xl0uowqjqm.jpg |

Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
im pretty sure it is factory. someone on here at one time posted an ad or something showing the different c-10 styles in different countries
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
Yep...I want one
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
I would roll that just as it is just a little buff job and some slots. Then have one of the coolest trucks at he next show
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion

These are definitely factory built. They built a few bodies GM never offered in the USA in Brazil. If you want to be amazed just Google "Brazilian Chevy Trucks". We've talked about these trucks many times over the years
I'm pretty sure I showed some ads somewhere in this thread (found it: page #3 post #59): http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...w+us+your+lits The ones in the picture are built differently. They may be from a different market. Notice the one below has no driver side rear door |
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
I see it on post 59 in that thread
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
As well as 62, it also looks like they have some frankenburban, it has a bigger back door, I like it!

I'd bet it's factory also. And there are guys turning crew cab long beds into crew cab short beds over on the 73-87 side of the house, looks like a modern truck. Here's a somewhat similar contraption I saw at Pomona - had a crowd around it.

Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
That loos like a blazer with a half cab made from a truck cab, the wheel wells looks to close to the back of the cab to be a truck
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
thank s special k.... i knew i wasnt going senile yet!!

Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion

Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
looks kinda like the mexican bed with a shell attatched
|
Re: Poor picture of another odd conversion
Looks like a nova rear panel. These are factory, just not "our" factories. If the truck the thread was started for is a conversion, what would they have converted? It's a unibody too short to be a Suburban and too long to be a K/5, and the side door work would take extensive work. The next question would be why go to all the trouble and expense when you can buy a Suburban?
