nitro install question
im thinking about putting nitro in my truck, however i have a TBI and the nitro kit for that is around $700, not in my budget. however, a carb nos system is only about $400 which i can afford, so i was thinking about putting in a carb intake (which i have already from another project) and putting the nos plate on that then putting a carb to tbi adapter on top so i could use the carb kit and save some money. i also know that im going to need to play around with the psi as the carb and tbi use different fuel pressure, so i need some help with that. what do you guys think? should i do it or save up a little more and just get the tbi kit? please help

Re: nitro install question
Myself and buddies ran nos for years with no issues ever, the key is fuel delivery. We always ran separate fuel systems or modified stock systems. Most ran a fuel cell with an electric pump for the nos system, this works great as you only engage when using nos and will never have a starvation issue. I ran a modified system with a half inch fuel line with a bung welded to the bottom of the stock tank, with a Holley blue pump to a regulator , supplying the nos and carb. I would never run nos with a stock pump and stock fuel lines, nos problems are 99% of the time related to lack of fuel. My 2 cents. But always loved the happy gas!
